Report about activities of the Romanian team
November 2013- January 2014

November 2013
In the first week of November were took place activities of dissemination for visit in Spain, into school and in local media.
The students which visited Spain have showed Power Point presentations in front of their colleagues and for the Comenius team.
The teachers have made dissemination for their colleagues and an article for local media.
During this month the whole Comenius team worked a lot for materials for the virtual guide and for the cooking book. Their work was evaluated in a very large meeting with the whole Comenius team and it was an important point for decision about students which will go in Portugal. It was a real competition between the students for this visit.
In the same time it was applied the questionnaire BE ACTIVE.
In November has restarted in school the Campaign NO FAST FOOD TODAY. The students of the target group, dressed in the yellow T-shirts and blue caps of the project, have shared flyers and spoke with their colleagues about the danger of fast food.
December 2013
The students, after the coordinating of the teachers finished the materials for Grandma’s Recipes and for the virtual guide.
They prepared the recipes for a Romanian Christmas menu in Power Point or movies and other ten Romanian recipes for the Grandma’s Recipes Book.
After the results of the questionnaire Be Active the teachers have made a report with results and conclusions.
This report was sent to the Portuguese team for posting on the Virtual guide and a short form of this as Power Point presentation, was prepared for visit in Portugal.
In 12 December a part of the Comenius team had a very nice activity in the school’s cantina where they have cooked an Italian menu with pizza, brochettes, pasta and Tiramisu.
The food was offered to a large group of children with disabilities, which were very happy to be in visit in our school.

It was a very nice and instructive time for teachers and students, in the same time. Each of them had the opportunity to meet the Portuguese culture and wonderful people.
It was another perfect moment for meeting our large Comenius team.
In the same time it was the moment for establish the tasks and some details for the last meeting in April, in Poland.
After return in country, each student which were in Portugal had a presentation for disseminate his visit in front of the school’s Comenius team. The teachers have written an article for the local media and a report of coordinator for county’s educational department.

Third Comenius report

Report  from October 2013 to January 2014

October

After our Comenius partners’ departure, the students wrote the diary of the fourth meeting in Barcelona and it was published in the school magazine.  The Spanish coordinator wrote the report of the meeting for the blog.
Parents, students and teachers evaluated the activities done in Barcelona.
Then we began to prepare the materials for the next meeting in Portugal.  The students had to interview other students of the school and see if our students were active or not.
They did the questionnaire “Be active” and wrote the conclusions (all these materials are on the blog in students’ presentations and in the Spain folder). The students who were going to Portugal prepared their own presentations in Powerpoints.

November

The students wrote the conclusions about the questionnaire “Be active” and presented them to the rest of students of their class and to the students of the fourth year of ESO. The conclusions were posted in the “Virtual guide”.
They took part in a pyramid contest about “Be active”. The winner was the one made by Kathy Narvaez.
They organised a campaign encouraging their mates to practise more sports and cut down the time in front of TV or computers.
They began to prepare a menu with typical Catalan dishes.  They chose:
Starters:  Catalan Spinach
Main Course: Sausages with haricot beans
Dessert: Catalan cream
We sent it to the Portuguese team to be posted in the Virtual Guide
They made the powerpoints, practised the pronunciation with the language assistant and presented them to their classmates.
They searched information about Portugal and wrote an article in the school magazine.

December

We didn’t have much time to work on the project because of our local holiday at the beginning of the month, then the exams and evaluations, the preparations for the Christmas festival at school, etc.
They worked on their oral presentations and presented them to the other students of the school.
When we saw the programme of the activities for the meeting in Portugal, they searched information about the places and they prepared the trip, checked the flight timetables, how to get to Lisbon, planned the activities, because we’d have time to visit it before meeting our partners and going to Torres Novas.
There was a Christmas card contest and we sent the winner one to the different schools that take part in the project, including our Greek ex-partners.
We held a meeting with the parents to present the Portuguese programme for our stay there and to make the last arrangements.

January

We travelled to Torres Novas, Portugal.  Our students took part in all the interesting activities prepared by the Portuguese school.  They presented their powerpoints about the questionnaire “Be active”, looked for similarities, got ideas things they could do to be fit and things they should avoid.  Thanks to the meals offered there and the powerpoint about menus, they could appreciate the Portuguese cuisine and understand better their partners’ culture.  They could enlarge their geographical and historical knowledge thanks to the trips organised by the school.  Staying with the families, they had the opportunity to know a lot about their traditions and culture.  And what’s more, they could see their partners again, speak English and enjoy a wonderful week with them.

When they came back, they prepared the diary of their stay there and showed it to their classmates.  They evaluated the meeting and continued working on the recipes for the grandma’s recipe book.
