Turkish student

THE BEST TIME OF MY LIFE!

On Sunday morning, we went airport. We waited Polonish group. My friend and I had pancart. We wrote WELCOME TO TURKEY! And then we met.
They were the best time of my life. I had a wonderful time with them and all comenious group. I love all of girls and boys and teachers. I love everything about them.

My girl’s name was Elwira. She was really beautiful girl. I and my family  love her.Elwira was very good friend for me and my sister. She was my best friend for a week. We spent really good time at home  we talked very much about her life. About her friends, family and boyfriends. We took lots of photos. We made Turkish coffee. We ate İskender turkish kebab.we had a really good times together. I love her. She likes my sister, my best friend.
All comenious group were my family for a week. I really really love them and our together times.

We went to different places with her group and my group. We went historical and natural places with our school and other comenious project’s people. I had a really good time.
While we were leaving, i cried. I loved her and all foreign people. I orientated them very much. I cried lots of.

I will miss her and comenious. I really loved this Project. COMENİOUS PEOPLE PLEASE COME HERE AGAIN AGAIN! YOU ARE OUR FAMILY!

Hey i'm Gizem Can and i'm 16 going to Antalya Yusuf Ziya Öner Science High School and i've been attended to our school's Comenius project. Now i'm going to tell my story.

When we were waiting for the students in airport it was one of the most exciting moment of my life because we were gonna host them for like one week.
I have hosted the cutest girl in the world called Ola Stumska. She's from Poland and we're in the same age i guess. She was very kind, very joyful and very friendly. I remember that sometimes our english couldn't be enough to communicate but we got over it.

We traveled so many places in Antalya and did some shopping. She taught me some polish  and learned some turkish by me and we had really great time.
This project was really cultured and i'm really glad that i've been a part of it.

Comenius Project

was a great opportunity to meet with students from other culters. I have met more than 30 people in this project. I had a chance to represent my country, my culture and my city. My friend who stayed in my house was Lina from Greece. I think i was a little bit lucky because she was so kind and we love common things with her, like our taste in music or our favourite tv shows.

It was a great exprience for me because i’ve never share my home with a foreign student. I had great time and now i have memories about that week that i’ll never forget. I also improved my communication skills and laerned about other cutures and lifestyles. I’ve gained new frienships and learned a lot about team work.

This project made me feel very responsible because i had to think and care about my guest and her needs. So after this project i’m happy to know that now i can easily understand other people and be helpful for them. It also shows that your culture isn’t a big difference if you can share good memories with somebody.

I am Ebru KÜÇÜK,
I am sixteen years old .In my freetimes i like to play the violin read books and paint in water colours. I am in 10th grade in this school.
With Comenius Project i have been to Italy and learnt Italian culture and food.

Before i went to Italy i was so excited because it was my first time going abroad. Also i was a bit nervous  because i was gonna stay at a faimliy’shouse,who  i have never met before, dont know anythink about. I was also a bit scared to do something i should not do and not to get on well people in Italy.
But when i reached Italy all of my worries gone away because all the people were so sincere and good to us, ı tought that Italian people are so sincere .  We met new people , talk to each other about our countries and had so much fun . Also i loved the town planning so much .

In Italy i had so much fun learnt about Italıan culture and foods met new people and got new friends and had so much good memeories.

MY COMMENIUS FRIEND

Name of my Commenius friend was Patricio. He was from Barcelona, Spain.  We had awesome time, and I still wish he was here.
The first day he came, I understood that we will get on well, and that’s what we did.  His English was great and we could talk English like it’s our main language. So we didn’t have any communication problems. 

The second day, we went to bowling after school, we had wonderful time, and became better friends (I won).  So I realized what Commenius is actually about; Friendships. Friendships between countries, friendships with measures.
And the other days, we went to archeological places of Antalya, like Aspendos and Perge. He really liked there, I think. I have already been both of the places, but it was a perfect chance to rediscover archeological masterpieces of Antalya.
Of course there was a few things went wrong. One day,when we wanted to go to amusement park, weather was rainy and park was closed. It was a real mishap. He wanted to go to amusement park really much.

And I think he liked my mom’s food.  She tried to cook everything she knew,just to make Patricio satisfied and happy. They really liked each other,and they were really good.
And the last day, we took photos, and my mom gave him some tea (he really liked it), I gave him a t-shirt. We thanked him for his presents, we did all the touching good-bye parts, my mom cried and we brought him to hotel, which is the start point for his travel back to Spain. We looked after the bus and I thought that I will miss him really much.

I hope we can see each other again.

TURKEY COMENIUS PROJECT

In April 2013, a Polish girl Kasia came Antalya/Turkey with a lot of foreign students. I have already met her on the facebook but when I saw her, I got very excited. First day was not very enjoyable because we haven’t known each other and we both are so shy. But the second day, we became close friends. We sang songs, danced and asked questions about our lives.
I and Kasia went Antalya’s popular places for teenagers. And we really had fun. We played bowling, we ate İskender(a famous Turkish national food) and of course we went shopping! When we were doing this activities also Kasia has learned about Turkish culture.

When we went to school I met Kasia’s friends and Kasia met my friends. I showed my school to Kasia. The third, fourth and fifth days we visited Antalya’s  most beauiful  places. And the last day, we had a party at the school.
With Comenius Project, I made a lot of friends from different countries. Kasia, Ewa, Elvira, Daria, Roxana and Ivo became my close friends. It was very hard to say goodbye to them especially to Kasia but I am very happy to be a part of this project. I hope I will see them one day with Comenius Project again!

I AM AYLİN. 
I AM 16 YEARS OLD. AND LAST YEAR I ACHIEVED TO GO TO AYZOFL. AND IN THIS PLACE I REALLY LIKED ENGLISH. SO I TRUSTED MYSELF.. ALSO I LİKE FOREIGN  PEOPLE, FOREIGN LANGUAGE AND FOREIGN CULTURES.SO LAST YEAR I JOINED TO COMENIOUS PROJECT. IN THIS PROJECT I MET WITH ‘’EWA’’SHE IS  POLISH. AND SHE ONLY 1 YEAR OLDER THAN ME. SO WE HAVE GOOD COMMUNICATION. WE HAVE GOT ONLY 1 WEEK. AND IN THIS WEEK. I REALLY LOVED EWA. BECAUSE SHE IS VERY PRETTY,  HONEST,FUNNY, AND VERY THOUGHTFUL AND RESPECTFUL TO ME AND MY FAMILY. I NEVER COMPLANED FROM EWA. BECAUSE FOR EXAMPLE, SHE THOUGHT EVERTHING, AND WHEN I SAİD HER WE MUST GO NOW, SHE ALWAYS, YES OK AYLİN. AND ANOTHER EXAMPLE EVERY DAY, SHE TIDIED HER BED. AND SHE ALWAYS EAT EVERTHING, I AM TRYING TO SAY ‘’SHE DOES NOT MAKE ANY DIFFICULTIES TO ME. ANYWAY I WİLL MENTION ABOUT THIS WEEK. FOR 5 DAYS WE WENT TO LOTS OF PLACES, AND WE WERE GENERALLY TIRED, BUT DURING TRIP WE ALWAYS HAD FUN. I REALLY LOVED POLISH  COMMENIOUS TEAM. BECAUSE I THINK IN THIS PROJECT ALL STUDENTS ARE VERY FRENDLY AND FUNNY. SO WE CAN ALWAYS  FIND

SOMETHING TO SPEAK. AND SOMETIMES WE TAUGHT TURKISH TO

THEM AND SOMETIMES WE LEARNED OTHER  LANGUAGES AND 

CULTURES FROM THEM. SO IT IS VERY A BEAUTIFUL THING. ESPECIALLY

IN OUR AGES.HERE MY WRITING IS CLOSING.

BUT I SHOULD SAY LAST SOMETHING.

I WILL NOT FORGET THIS PROJECT.AND EWA.

I’m Barkın,

I’m sixteen years old. I love to swim, play basketball and play guitar.I study in Antalya Yusuf Ziya Science School, as a 10th  grade students. I live in Antalya.

In Comenius Project I have gone to Italy and I have gotten experienced about  Italian culture, foods and people.
Before have gone to Italy: I had been thinking about Italian culture. Because every culture is different from other and we could live some problems about it. And I wasnt use to eat italian foods. I had expected unhappy and cold people because we were going to go to North part of Italy so they had said us  people of North are insincere.

But after have visited Italy my thougths have been changed.Italian culture and architacture is magnificient and impressive.Italians are very generous and kind people.I am very impressed with talkative and sincere people.We didnt know other one’s language and also english but we have agreed much.
In Italy I have experienced fascinating memories I’ve gained a lot of friend.I’ve changed my thoughts about other country and people.I’ve learned italian’s culinary and fast food.

From Italy visit, I understand the importance and great taste of culinary food,and harms of fast food to human body and systems.Before visit I had not known  culinary food is how tasteful than fast food. Also I have reduced the eating fast food.

After visiting Spain    the Italian  Comenius team has continued the local activities of the project.
-Meeting with the Leadership (Headmaster). Summary of meeting in Spain and plan of future activities
            Team Comenius (3 teachers and Leadership)
-Students have talked to their colleagues about the dissemination of Spanish  and Comenius experience.
-Second classes of  ISISS Sartor (Technical and Professional) realize a UDA about the food
Students work during the period nov-april) with all teachers in some subjects of  project (Pyramid, History, psycological aspects…)
 Team Comenius and other teachers classes 2As,2Bs,2At,2Bt (70 students)
-Students and teachers worked  in the subjects agreed during the meeting in Spain
During this month the whole Comenius team worked for the virtual guide and for the cooking book
- It was applied the questionnaire BE ACTIVE.
-Students worked about  THE COMMANDMENTS of HEALTH

December 2013
- Students finished the materials for Grandma’s Recipes and for the virtual guide.
- Students realize PPT  and Documents about 3 recipes of venetian food and the Commandments to presents in the next meeting in Portugal
-Students prepared 8 Italian recipes for the Grandma’s Recipes Book. Students and teachers realized PPT and Documents about 8 venetian recipes
-It was elaborate the questionnaire BE ACTIVE and   the teachers  have made a report with results and conclusions.

-The short form of recipes and the report of questionnaire was sent to the Portuguese team to be posted in the Virtual guide.

5'th MEETİNG POTUGAL REPORT- TURKEY

POTUGAL REPORT TURKEY
Our school visited the Maria de Lama school in TORRES Novas İN PORTUGAL to join the meetings of the Comenius project of EU , 12-18 January,2014.
The project coordinator Emin Kutlu, the assistant manager Mevlüt Uğur and English teacher Zeki Demir participated the visit .
The students who joined the Portugal meeting were Esranur ELVAN, İdea Nehir ÖZLİMAN, Sevgi BAŞEĞMEZ, Musa Serkan DÜNDAR, Berk TOSUNve Ahmet Emre BOYACI.
We started our journey on the 11.01.2014 on Saturday at 23.55 via İstanbul and Paris to Lisbon. We arrived in Lisbon at 14.15.we went to the city centre and saw the sights for two hours.we returned to the airport to meet the other partners at the airport.the host partners met us at the airport cheerfuly and we waited for the others. We took a bus to the Torres NOVAS at 7,20 and we arrived at the hotel at 20 30. The host families took the students to their homes.we had dinner at the hotel together.
All the partner teams met the next day on 13.01 .2014 on Monday,we started our studies.The governer of Torres Novas welcomed all the teachers and students at the local library hall. They gave us some nice presents and we gave them our presents.After that we visited the library, the old church and town centre. They offered us the lunch at Maria Lamas high school.
After lunch we went to the project school , Manuel de Figueiredo. We visited the school.wewacthed the music,english geography,art and sports classes.we visited the part about Turkey. The geography teacher introduced a game called geocatching.the players try to find the secret boxes hidden in the different parts of the world using GSP on their phones. The game entails walking.the students tried tto find the box near the old mill and they walked in the open air.
On Tuesday we had a culture visit to the city and went to the oceon side. First we visited an important town called Fatima, a relligious place. We saw old and new churches there.Next we went to Alçobaca , another historical town and we saw thecathedral which was built in 1100s.the church redecorated many times later.
İn the afternoon we went to a beach town , Nazare, which is famous for the giant waves of the Atlas oceon.we had lunch here in a fish restaurantwith the teachers.we climbed to the hill to watch the waves and city.Later we also visited the third longest cave of europe. We climbed down 600 metres in the cave. İn the evening the students went to their host families.
On Wednesday,15.01.2014, we went to the school to watch the students’ presentations. After the presentations we went into the classrooms in different groups to watch the lessons.the students joined some of the activities.
The lunch was offered at Maria de Lama.after lunch we went to a bakery shop. The students cooked their own cookies there and we tasted it .while the teacher were meeting for the next project , the students made tiles.they prepared their gifts .they gave these tiles at the and of the visit.
After dinner the high school students gave us a small concert at the art home.
On Thursday we went to a place where we could see the footprints of dinousures.it was outside of the town.
We also visited the primary school, Serra de Aire.we met the students and talked to them.the lunch was offered here. We saw the old church there.
İn the afternoon, we went to a farm to see horses and to try horse riding.we also visited the house where the photography started.
In the evening we had dinner in a good restaurant with music.we watched the dances and karaoke performances.
On Friday 17.01.2014 we went to school and watched the students performances. The music and dance clup showed their performances.
After the show the students got their certificates and they exchanged their presents .
In the evening the host families gave us dinner at school. After dinner we watched a folk dance group,some students participated the dances.
On Saturday 18.01.2014 the host families and teachers met us at the bus station we got on our buses and said goodbye. We thnked for their hospitality.
Our students constantly participated the project and in the evenings they had good organisations with the host families.they showed their culture,traditions and food. They expressed their pleasure about our students.
We took our plane at 14,45. Via Paris and Istanbul at 03 we arrived in Antalya.the families met their children and went home.
During the visit our studentshad good relations .they learnt about different culture, compared to their own culture.they had good friends and overcame the fear of foreigner.they saw some historical buildings, people and towns. They noticed the similarities and differences,they improved their self confidence. They practised their english all the time and impved their level.and our teacher had the chance to see their schools ,classes and education system. We had good information and developed ourselves. İt was a very useful visit.

The photographs of Spain visit, students presentations and ppt files were loaded to our blog.
The report of Aril and September period was put into our blog.



We continued the study of food pyramid and activity pyramid.
We organised a nature walk to Düzlerçamı for physical activity.



The presentations for Portekiz visit were prepared.
The result of physical activity qustionare were evaluated and diagrams were prepared.


The posters and diagrams about physical activities were put on the school boards.
